The purpose of the Albany Tennis Association is to promote all phases of amateur tennis in the Albany Area. Contact us: albanytennis@aol.com for more information. All programs are sanctioned by USTA and Southern Georgia Tennis

The Fourth Annual Citywide Tennis Tournament took place on the weekend of April 12-14. It was bigger and better than ever this year. The kick-off party held at Stonebridge Tennis Facility on Friday evening also included seven courts of players playing their first matches of the weekend. Play continued on Saturday with adult play taking place at Pine Forest Racquet Club and Junior players taking the courts at Stonebridge.

The adult draw consisted of 59 players of various levels and the junior portion had 35 players between 12 & 17 years of age. Play of all levels was top-notch and very impressive, a thrill to watch.

A great time was held by all until the rain cancelled all play on Sunday. Many rained out matches will be played within the next few weeks but the wonderful players from Tampa Florida will not be able to compete.
